What is BumbleBee?

BumbleBee is PIC programming software for Windows. You can use it to program Microchip PIC microcontrollers with a Wisp628 or Wisp648 programmer. These are good and affordable prototype PIC programmers (in my opinion) made by Van Ooijen Technische Informatica. There is also a version of the Wisp628 with Galvanic isolation, called the Galva Wisp made by Frits Kieftenbelt.

Why is it called BumbleBee?

Well, Wouter van Ooijen called his PIC programming software and hardware "wisp" and he uses an image of a wasp on his website about it and on the PCB of the Wisp628 programmer, so I thought "Let's stick with the insects..."
