RNLA is procuring Stinger platform as there main VShorad weapon within FGBADS. The Stinger platforms are to replace the
PRTL 35mm GWI Cheetah, which shall be put into early retirement, due to economic measures within  the Royal Netherlands Army

There shall be two versions Stinger Platform procured.

• Answers on Request for Information received on 6^th August 2004
• Request for Proposal send on 23^rd December 2004
• Answers to Request for Proposal received 17^th March 2005
• Letter to parliament 9^th September 2005
• Parliamentary approval on 15^th September 2005

• Contract award to KMW - Aselsan on 29^th September 2005 for 18 medium versions.

The program consists of procuring 18 armed platforms on Fennek and 18 platform on a Mercedes Benz vehicle. Both vehicles are to be integrated in the BMC4I of the FGBAD System, by means of the data radio and weapon terminal.

The total project budget is M€ 44,-- (incl. VAT, price level 2005)
