Nefertete.

I began this embroidery in September 2001.

In November 2002 this piece was framed.

Pay  attention especially to the details in the crown (right) and on the left site.

Nefertete was queen of Egypt in the 14th century B.C. and also the wife of pharaoh Achnaton.

She was a fanatical follower/participant of the sun-gods movement.

When Achnaton expressed his doubts over this participation and belief, estrangement followed between the two.

The last years of her life she spent alone in her palace.

It measures: 39 x49 cm.
