Six or seven Knights are pitted against three Queens. Because some engines cannot handle that many pieces of one type while all Pawns are present, each side gets only 3 Pawns. Without Pawn shield the Knights would be hanging if they would all start on the back rank, so the initial position has some Knights in a more advanced position, as compensation for the Queens starting on open files or diagonals.

Theoretically, 6 Knights is a badly lost position, while 7 Knights should easily win. Most normal chess engines don't know how to play this game well, however, and lose even against 6 Knights.

After a game finishes, use browser refresh (F5 on IE) to switch to the next game. You can also do this during a game, to re-play it.
