The PsiWin 1.1 upgrade page on the Psion site is removed. All languages are secured by me and others in order to keep them available on the internet. Choose your language and download PsiWin 1.1 millennium edition. You need all the three disks for a working version! Original its a Windows 3.1 package, but the program can also be used with Windows XP as example. PsiWin 1.1 can also sit alongside PsiWin 2.3.3 happily and can be used to convert Series 3 files to PC format. The database program is a real gem and can be used separately. Printing with this program is also no problem. Psion recommend unzipping each disk file into a separate temporary folder. Please be aware that Psion no longer provide any support for this application and it is provided here on an 'as-is' basis.

Installation
  • You do not need to uninstall or remove PsiWin before installing this upgrade.
  • This upgrade will overwrite the installed version of PsiWin, but not the user files.

To install the upgrade:
  1. Unzip (extract) the three files to a temporary directory, e.g. 'c:\temp', making sure that the directory structure (path names) stored in the zip file is recreated.

    To do this:
    a) using Pkunzip, extract the files using the '-d' switch, e.g enter 'pkunzip -d disk1.zip c:\temp'.
    b) using WinZip, extract the files using the setting to 'create folder names'.

  2. After extracting the files, run the 'setup.exe' program found in the directory 'disk1'. Follow the on screen instructions in the setup program, making sure that you install this upgrade to the same directory as the version of PsiWin already installed.
