to spend money! (So actually it is very cheap)
I booked me trips with Ishestar in Hafnarfjordur. They are specialised in riding tours and offer a great variety of tours.
If you have your own safety helm please bring it with you. It is probably the most comfortable and it will prevent you from head injuries. The Icelandic surface is very hard and even good riders can fall of their horses.
Don not forget to desinfect all your riding equipment.
Riding days can be very long up to 8 hours,
but with some practicing at home everybody can manage.

The Icelandic
horsefarm Punktur in Poland is a good place to do some practicing. They
organise special Icelandic daytrips; Long tolting strectches and after lunchtime
you are given fresh horses to go on in high speed in the afternoon!
