Possible charter boat

Nine-berth schooner

If our classic charter feature in this issue (p66) has inspired you to go into business, this nine berth schooner could be just what you need.
Gypsea is 48ft 6 in (14.8m) on deck, 60ft (18.3m) over spars, of monoblock moulded wood construction, launched 1992.

Designed by the late French naval architect Daniël Z. Bombigher, she is good-looking with lots of detail, and easy to control, with a low aspect sail plan and wide beam.

She has an unusual underwater profile combining a long keel with a forward centreboard to improve maneuverability.

She is an ideal liveaboard, which is how her present Dutch owners have been using her for the last past five years. The couple sailed her to the Baltic last summer.

Accommodation is a mix of singles and doubles, with two bathrooms, a spacious saloon and a large cockpit (sun cover included). She’s lying in Holland; there is an informative website: wwwgypsea.nl.
