FreeDist 3.9 20577 + downloads

The Freeware equivalent of Adobe distiller. Drop your postscriptfiles in a "watched" folder and the PDF files will roll out automatically. It can also append multiple existing PDF files with postscriptfiles into 1 multipage PDF. FreeDist can be used as a postscript viewer. FreeDist is a frontend for the wellknown Ghostscript. FreeDist supports Ghostscript 8.14 encryption and has a multilanguage interface.

Mulps21PDF 7166 + downloads

A program to create PDF files from a virtual postscript printer, like the wellknown FreePDF but with the extra option to combine multiple prints in one PDF. So you could have separate prints from Autocad, Word, Notepad and IE all combined into 1 multipage PDF.

PhotoLapse 3 19000 + downloads

PhotoLapse is a free program to create avi movies from jpg sequences. It can be used for creating timelapse movies with your digital photocamera. It needs no installing and it does not modify your registry so there's no risk giving it a try.... No installation required

MultiG®®Q 201 + downloads

MultiG®®Q is a freeware Google searchpage builder. When you have long lists of phrases you'd like to ask to Google you can type them in one by one in Google or .........you just paste your phrases into MultiG®®Q and press the button to generate a html page with all the phrases linked to Google's search page. No installation required

RSI 2101 + downloads

A stupid name but it was the best i could think of (then). It's a cute little program that monitors your mousemovements graphically. It also logs your mousebutton clicks. Be surprised how many kilometers you move your mouse over your desk! No installation required

Announcement for Webcamthief. A program for grabbing webcam image sequences for converting them into timelapse movies. I still have some time to go before it is finished and all kind of programming problems must be overwon because i'm writing it in vb.NET wich is kind a new for me. Again it will be for free. A long time it has been silent on my software front, mainly because i did not enjoy programming anymore but for now i have fun programming Webcamthief.

Photolapse V1.0 is here for you. From now on no one in posession of a digital photocamera can have an excuse for not making his or hers own timelapse movie. Offcourse this one is also for free.

Currently i'm developing "timelapse" software. A free program to stich multiple JPG's into a (compressed) AVI movie. Since long i'm fascinated by timelapse movies and with all those digital cameras around nowadays everybody is capable of creating those movies. Software like this allready exists but i couldn't find one for free so why not make one myself. Technically it allready works but the interface needs some finishing touches.

When you set your digital camera in the lowest resolution and place it in a fixed position and take a new picture every 10 seconds or so, and next stitch those pictures together you'll get a movie wich, when the subject is interesting, reveals things that normally can't be noticed.

FreeDist V2.02 contained a nasty "bug". A popup message came with every file that was being distilled. I guess i was to eager to release 2.02 before testing it properly. V2.03 is on my site for you to download. V2.50 also got it's Finnish translation (Thanks Markku!) and only needs some finetuning before it is here for you.

FreeDist V2.50 is being made right now. It will take advantage of Ghostscripts 8.14 encryption capabilities. Also in this version i will build in multi language support and V2.50 will have English, Dutch and Finnish in it. If all goes well i'm gonna ask here for help on other translations. French, German and Spanish i'm thinking of.

Developmentstatus of FreeDist V2.0:

FreeDist 2.0 development is in it's final stages and i wish to thank all the beta testers. Currently i'm writing the manual (wich does not mean that FreeDist 2.0 is more complex). I expect to release it next week. Hope you come back to pick it up!

Developmentstatus of FreeDist V2.0:

Still in testphase. Added the possibility to link postscriptfiletypes to FreeDist.exe Doubleclicking on such a filetype results in immediate conversion to PDF in the same folder. The resulting PDF will also be shown in Acrobat Reader when ready. All development is done in my sparetime and there's not much left of it lately since i bought me a Gamecube.....

Developmentstatus of FreeDist V2.0:

Different papersize combines are no problem anymore. Order of the files to combine is now much easier to do, just drag in the correct order. I'm now investigating the possibility to combine postscript with pdf files to one pdf file. With outputquality control you'll have the choice between Default, Printer, Screen and E-book.

FreeDist V2.0 is being developed right now. It will have an increased handling speed of postscriptfiles. Also some interface changes and some bug fixes. Outputquality control. A checkbox for deleting postcriptfiles after conversion. A systray icon instead of on the taskbar. Maybe i'll build in an update checker but i'm not sure yet because of possible installation troubles. I'm also gonna change the interface of the compose screen because it looks and handles like sh*t.

I changed the download pages because of the instability of www.hostedscripts.com. I used it for tracking the number of downloads but when that site was down, non of my software could be dowloaded.

More then 35.000 visitors in one and a half years time, not too bad i think.
Apr 2 2003 Freedist is downloaded 4000 times. For every 6 visitors 1 thinks it worth downloading. It could be that some come visit more than once to have another quick peek at the, quite complex, installation instruction for Mulps21PDF.
Feb 22 2003 20.000 visitors have been on my site. You could populate a small village with it. 3.300 FreeDist and 2.100 Mulps21PDF downloads. According to the nice reactions in my GuestBooK, at least some of them are happy with it.

Today my site celebrates its birthday. In this first year there where 17500 visitors wich is much more then i expected then. Most traffic is due to the reference of pdfzone to FreeDist. FreeDist is downloaded 2800 times, i wonder how many of those are being used. I guess i'll never know because i didn't build in a registration kind of thing. At least some people showed their appreciation of my free software, some by mail and some by signing my GuestBooK. It's always nice to get some feedback because it's no fun doing things when you don't know what the effects are.

Updated Mulps21PDF to v1.03.Because my provider does not support own CGI scripts i experimented with externally www.hostedscripts.com hosted CGI scripts. As far as i can see it works great. I use them to count the download of files.
