verkiezingsdag! Wij bekijken de verkiezingen met het clubje met wie we
al eerder de debatten in de kroeg zijn gaan bekijken, ditmaal in een soort
nachtclub. Het wordt niet echt leuk, behalve op het moment dat Californie
naar John Kerry gaat. Om elf uur hebben we er genoeg van.

November 2, election
day! We watch them with the group we watched the debates with, this time
we are in a sort of night club. No atmosphere, except for the moment California
goes to John Kerry.

Op vrijdagavond
4 november vliegen we naar Nederland. Zondagmiddag wandelen we over de Pietersberg
in Maastricht. Op maandag een workshop over elektronisch procederen bij
de rechtbank Roermond. Eten met Renate, strandwandeling in Scheveningen,
het is een gezellige week met veel vrienden en familie.
Wim hangt in heel Nederland groot aan de gevel, met de portretten voor KFN.

Friday
November 4, we fly to the Netherlands. On Sunday afternoon, we hike the
Pietersberg in Maastricht. On Monday, there is a workshop on electronic
litigation in the court at Roermond. Dinner with Renate, a walk along the
beach in Scheveningen, it is a great week, with lots of friends and family.
Wim's portraits for KFN Real Estate are in large display all over Holland.

office. On Sunday, November 13 we fly back to Washington. << |

| Thanksgiving
weekend gaan we naar de Blue Ridge Mountains met Lynne, Marc en Sebastian
Kocen. Lynne en Marc vertrekken na het weekend voor drie jaar naar Kazakstan.
Sebastian, hun zoon, gaat hier naar college en blijft hier. Het is een smartelijk
afscheid. Wim maakt er foto's van, op hun verzoek. En
er is Thanksgiving Dinner, met kalkoen, ambrosia, toetjesbuffet en blue
grass muziek toe. Het is koud in de bergen. De herten lopen om het huis.

Thanksgiving
weekend, we go to the Blue Ridge Mountains with Lynne, Mark and Sebastian
Kocen. Lynne and Mark are leaving for Kazakhstan for three years. Sebastian,
their son, goes to college here, and he stays here. Saying goodbye is very
hard. Wim takes pictures, at their request. And there is Thanksgiving dinner,
with turkey, ambrosia, dessert buffet and blue grass music. It is cold in
the mountains. Deer all over the place. << |
