Wizard of the sea.  

This is my very special piece.

I worked on this from May 2000 till September 2001. Again, in the summer months I spent little time on it. This time I used very small beads, this was difficult, especially while sliding beads along the ring - sometimes they got stuck and were liable to break. The first part, (getting the beads into position) I managed to do myself; when the beads had to go onto the ring my husband helped.

There are a lot of colours in this piece, the most difficult was the gold and silver thread, this curls up so easily that it makes it almost impossible to get in threaded.

It measures 40 x 52 cm.
