Born in Indianapolis Sept. 29, 1913, Mr. Rugenstein was the son of John C. and Florence Meyer Rugenstein. He married Norma Schramm in 1936. She died in 1979. He married Maria Schuncken Probst in 1981. She survives.
Also surviving are sons, Rudolph Rugenstein of Merlin, Ore., and Paul Rugenstein of Leahigh Acres; daughters, Delores "Dee" Bowen of Mansfield, Texas, and Dorothy Sabo of Grands Pass, Ore.; a stepson, Francis Probst of Waymansville; stepdaughters, Judy Cloeter of Williamsburg, Iowa, and Julia Baxter of Waymansville; six grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Rugenstein.
D. trouwde met M. Schuncken, dochter van Xaverius Schun(c)k(en) en Bertha Dreiling.
