Building a transporter for small kites

When I was a boy, I was sometimes building and flying kites with my cousin. One of my successful projects was a transporter with the shape of a butterfly. It was small and build from scrap materials out of the garage from my dad.

Some time ago, I have recreated the thing, as far as I could remember with some small changes. It is still great fun to see it running up and coming down.

I designed an other one, somewhat bigger but the one presented here is again small. There are the design features:
  • cheap and easy to make
  • build from simple materials
  • light enough to be use with the smallest kites

The pictures and drawing should give be enough to make it. It is not critical including the weight. If you build it even lighter, you might get trouble with the return. Experiment and find out. And if necessary, adding weight is easy. Have fun.
