At last, an accessible sports car! In 1964 the R8 Gordini 1100 made its appearance at the Paris Motor Show in its livery of blue with white stripes. Amedee Gordini had souped up its engine, which developed 95 HP for a top speed of around 105 mph. Then, in 1966 the already popular R8 Gordini was fitted with a 1300cc engine with 103 HP, giving the sports car a new maximum speed of 109 mph. The "small blue car" had a front end with dual headlights, an additional petrol tank, and a five-speed gearbox which captivated a whole generation of drivers by showing its abilities as much in road races as in the context of the R8 Gordini Cup. Classic Cars: Renault R8 Gordini provides the viewer with an interesting and nostalgic look at one of Frances most loved motor cars. Including a bonus photo album of Jean Vinatier with the R8 Gordini from 1964 to 1968.The DVD has English dialogue/translation.
