Lanzarote,
one of the Canary Islands (Spain) is covered with a large amount of
small vulcano cones and craters. Between 1730 and 1736 a large eruption covered several
villages with lava and ash. The lavafields and its volcanoes Montanas del Fuego
form a national park Parque Nacional Timanfaya . The lack of moist
gives the parque a unique flora and fauna. The whole island is
caracterised by the enormous variaty of landscapes. Below you will find
some examples.
