Beside working professionally with the (traditional) textile techniques, Alice had only in her spare time the opportunity to develop her skills in clay modelling and (stone) sculpture. Nowadays she has been able to practice both spatial work and free textile art. For her objects she uses all sorts of materials, whereby researching the possibilities of these materials and the necessary skills for working with these materials are very essential to her. As such the materials itself are an important source of inspiration. Also objects from nature and microscopical pictures of seeds and spores she finds very inspiring.
