and mass spectrometry measurements of isotope enrichment and so determine energy turnover
and metabolic rates in biological systems.

We are investigating strategies to bridge these approaches.
More a recent hobby: dynamic simulations of the
development of complex patterns that resemble biological structure
formation during development. Based on ideas published in 1952 by Alan
Turing, one of the founding fathers of computer science, these
simulations make for beautiful and dynamic pictures, here animated on
your computer screen in a Java applet.
