Creating a direct link

The table below gives you more information about the direct link using HyperAccess and Comms, As fas as I know this method can be used on all Psion's. There are two links available to 'how-to-guides' that can be of help to create this link. Also the Psion's Comms manual gives decent information about building a direct link between your PDA and a computer.

Program Direct link using HyperAccess and Comms
The way it works The direct link between your Psion and the OS/2 computer does not use the standard Psion protocols for serial connection to the PC. To use the link you have to make sure that the communication link on the Psion is set to 'off'. Both Comms and HyperAccess can be configured to use a 'direct cable connection' which allows you to exchange data using XMODEM, YMODEM (batch) or ASCII protocols.
